Community Life Commission

Purpose: to foster community and belonging within the congregation of St. Barnabas and promote opportunities for growth through study of scripture, prayer, and mutual support.

Some of our programs:

The Foyers Groups – shared dinners at other homes or at church.
A shared meal is a wonderful way for our members to get to know each other better

Small Groups
Small groups are a vital part of our continued growth and fellowship together as a Christian community.
  There are several groups and two new ones that meet on a regular basis—all welcome new members.

  • Julian Meeting (Centering Prayer/Contemplative Prayer)
    Time:              2nd Sunday, 7:00 p.m.
    Place:             St. Barnabas in the chapel

  • Barney’s Book Babes/Flick Chicks
    Time:              4th Sunday, 4:30 p.m.
    Place:             St. Barnabas in the Donne/Herbert Room

  • Men’s Bible Study
    Time:              Saturdays, 7:00 a.m.
    Place:             St. Barnabas in the Vestry Room

  • Mixed Bible Study
    Time:              Thursdays, 7:00 p.m.
    Place:             St. Barnabas in the Vestry Room

  • Cursillo

   
Various Gatherings/Outings

  • Cooking lessons

  • The Ethnic Dining Group—dinners at different ethnic restaurants. Meets the first Friday of each month.

  • movie outings and discussions

  • game nights
